Cyber Bullying

WHAT IS CYBER BULLYING?

The use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.

Cyber Bullying can often feel like it will never end, as it is done online it is often done via social networking sites.  The first step to stopping the bullying is to tell someone you trust, a parent, a teacher or a youth worker.

BEING BULLIED ONLINE VIA SOCIAL NETWORKS?

Most people have facebook, twitter, tumblr, you tube, instagram and many more.  These sites can be used to bully other people, if this happens block the person and report it straight away.

Bullying can also happen on a mobile phone, if this happens:-

  • Don’t reply to text messages
  • Keep message so you can show someone
  • Change your number
  • Speak to someone you trust

MOST IMPORTANTLY DO NOT KEEP BULLYING TO YOURSELF

REPORT IT!
