The Hepworth – Are you a professional working with young people?

The Hepworth is currently targeting disengaged young people in an attempt to actively involve them with the arts and act as a bridge to learning in a facilitated, safe environment.

The gallery is currently developing programmes which target high risk, vulnerable young people (+16) by providing safe and creative space to work within. The programmes consist of a Friday arts social, which provides the young people with a supportive and creative network to explore new experiences. The workshops are facilitated by local artists and the young people are offered further learning opportunities such as accredited arts awards.

On Friday 9th  March The Hepworth will be running a Friday drop in workshop 11am – 4pm. The workshops seeks to raise young people’s aspirations through a variety  of art platforms. The young people involved in the session will have a safe, dedicated space and will be given the opportunity to take on further learning opportunities within the gallery.

Follow the link below to see a video which shows first hand some of the experiences of young people and what a workshop may entail.

The Hepworth are currently seeking referrals, if you know of any young people who you feel would be appropriate for referrals than please email
