A group for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities that meets every Monday 6:00 – 8:00pm at Crofton Young People’s Centre, Crofton.
A group for young carers that meets every Tuesday 6:00 – 8:00pm at either The Hut, Castleford or Crofton Young People’ Centre, Crofton (location alternates weekly).
A group for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities that meets every Tuesday 5:30 – 8:00pm at Platform 1, Hemsworth.
A group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender + that meets every Tuesday 6:30 – 9:00pm in a safe, friendly and supportive location in Wakefield (location only given to members).
UK Youth Parliament and Youth Council meets every Monday 4:00 – 7:00pm at City Limits, Wakefield. (Other dates, visits, residential may be included)
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE)
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is split in to 3 levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Participants of the Bronze level meet every week 6:00 – 7:30pm
Participants of the Silver and Gold levels meet 7:30 – 9:00pm on alternate weeks.
All sessions are held at Crofton Young People’s Centre, Crofton (other dates will be included for practice walks and expeditions).
All of the above groups run throughout school term time and usually close during school holidays. Before attending please contact the team on 01924 302665 (some groups have limited availability, some require a referral to be completed and some include a cost).
Street Based Youth Work
