Are you over 18 and want to do something new and exciting that will make a difference to the lives of young people and the communities in which they live?

Well YouthReach is for you!

YouthReach is a FREE volunteer training programme run by Wakefield Council’s Youth Work Team.

You will be trained and given all the knowledge and experience you need to work with young people so no previous experience is required.

Once trained you will be added to our Volunteer Pool and called upon to support youth work sessions at our targeted youth sessions.

The next cohort of the training will take place in Summer 2019.

For further details of the course content you can download our current programme here – YouthReach Course Programme – Cohort 3

Training is weekly, 1 evening per week and consists of  “classroom” sessions and youth activity/placements.

Participants are required to attend at least 80% of the sessions/placement dates to successfully complete the programme.

Applications are invited from anyone who is interested in this exciting opportunity.  Please contact us and we will add your name to our database and we will let you know when recruitment for the Summer programme is recruiting.

You can download an application form here and send this to us and we will hold onto this until recruitment commences – Volunteer Application Form
