International Women’s Day Taster Sessions

What’s on at Leeds College of Building…

Places still available!!! International Women’s Day – Free Tasters – 7th, 8th & 9th March 2016

To mark International Women’s Day LCB are offering free taster sessions to any females interested in learning some basic DIY skills or those who are thinking about a career in construction.

Tue 8 March Wall & Floor Tiling 9am – 12pm North Street, LS2
Tue 8 March Painting & Decorating 1pm – 4pm Millwright Street, LS2
Wed 9 March Carpentry & Joinery 9am – 12pm North Street, LS2
Wed 9 March Plastering 1pm – 4pm North Street, LS2
Wed 9 March Brickwork 1pm – 4pm Hunslet, LS10

There are no formal entry requirements, however, you must be over the age of 16 before you start the course.

Have a Go Open Event – Thursday 10th March 2016, 4.30pm – 7.00pm at Hunslet.

The next have a go open event will take place at our Hunslet Campus, Cudbear Street (off Crown Point Road), Leeds, LS10 1EF (for Sat Nav use LS10 1HD). At the open event you can speak to the lecturers and existing students, discuss the courses and different careers available in construction and engineering and have a tour of the college facilities. You can also have a go at plumbing and electrical.

Please feel free to go and have a look round anytime between 4.30pm and 7pm.  Our Café will be open for you to purchase snacks and refreshments.

Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair – Monday 14th March 2016, 5pm – 8pm at the First Direct Arena

LCB are exhibiting at the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair in March, there are over 100 fantastic exhibitors, all with vacancies to fill!
