Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in exciting and rewarding projects, whilst also providing a helping hand to people in Wakefield.

From time to time the Youth Work Team have volunteering opportunities for local people to support the running of their sessions and programmes along with opportunities for administration and social media volunteers.

If you wish to work within the Youth Work Team or with our young people please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator on 01924 302665.  Alternatively please download our application form and complete and send back by email to: youthwork@wakefield.gov.uk

Volunteer Application Form

Volunteers may be asked to complete a programme of training which includes elements such as safeguarding, policies and procedures, dealing with difficult situations, County Lines and much more.  We will discuss your experience with you and what kind of role you wish to undertake with us and we will then look at appropriate training for you.

The Youth Work Team will keep your details on file awaiting the next training programme to commence but please keep a look out on here and their social media platforms for opportunities.
