Newcastle Young Adult Carers

The Wakefield Youth Work Team Young Carer programme is for any young person aged 11-19 who participates in any kind of caring role. This could be for a sibling, parent/carer or grandparent. Caring roles could include: helping around the house, personal care, support with lifting, support with medication, looking after younger siblings due to parent illness/disability etc. Young Carers now include any young person whose parent/carer, sibling or grandparent misuses alcohol or substances.
