Lewis Conor Hart

Hello, My name is Lewis Hart, I’m 14 years old, and I’m standing for Youth Parliament in the Wakefield West area to make a difference for young people in Wakefield.

If elected one of the things I would like to do is ensure that transport, especially that from home to school is safe, affordable, and fit for purpose. If needed, I would campaign for support and help for people who need it. I also feel that a lot of young people can’t access the several youth clubs and services available, because there is a lack of transport services between them in place. If I was elected, I would do my best to make sure there is a transport link in place between rural areas, and these youth clubs.

Also, If I was elected, I would try to get people to have a say at the activities available to them at the Youth Clubs in the area, and ensure that there is somewhere for people to go in there free time if they want to. I am aware that people find youth clubs unattractive – If I am elected, I will try my best to abolish this stereotype, and make Youth Clubs attractive for all.

I feel I am the best person for this job, because I am hard working, resilient, I am a good problem solver, and I am a good leader, who can listen and support people.
