US GIRLS ROCKS Activity Festival – “Class Action”

The Hut Airedale 26th April 2014

12:30pm to 4:30pm

Class Action is a girl’s activity/sports taster day that is being branded and backed by Sport England under their Street games US GIRLS festival project. We are aiming our event at girls 8 – 16 years of age.

The event is going to be held at the Hut in Airedale on the 26th of April where there will be 6 different activities/sports for girls to participate in, all with fun and enjoyment at the heart of each session.

The sessions/activities are all going to be delivered by local providers who already have sessions running in the community that the girls could join if they enjoy their experience at the taster event.

Our overall aim of the session/project is to try and increase numbers of girls participating in sport and to make them aware of the health benefits activity can have. We are providing healthy snacks throughout the event and information stands with professional workers on hand to promote health issues such as smoking and healthy eating.
