West Yorkshire Police Explorer Programme

Applications are now invited for the 2016 West Yorkshire Police Explorer Programme.

The Explorer Programme provides the opportunity for 16-18 year olds to learn about different aspects of policing within West Yorkshire Police, whilst supporting their community through volunteering. The programme is delivered over a 28 week period between January and July, commencing with an Induction Day. Explorers attend weekly sessions on a Wednesday evening at Police Stations across West Yorkshire. There are also a number of other sessions where Explorer groups come together for combined sessions, or that take place at specialist locations across the Force. In addition to these sessions, Explorers are also able to get involved in a variety of volunteering opportunities within Districts and at a Force level.

Details of how to apply for the programme are available at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/explorers
