Youth Work Apprentices – 1 Year Anniversary

Youth Work Apprentices

This week we celebrate that 1 year ago Harley, Matty and Sam joined the Youth Work Team to embark on their apprenticeship.  Wakefield is the first authority to have employed Youth Work apprentices.  They are on a 2 year placement and whilst they are doing this they are completing a NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Youth & Community Work.

Lets hear from them and see what they’ve been doing…

Sam – “I’d like to say – what a year it’s been!  I’ve had some amazing experiences which I wouldn’t have had the chance to do if it wasn’t for this apprenticeship. I’ve met some great characters, got a great team around me and definitely found what I want to do in the future. I can’t wait for my second year – it’s going to be even better!”
