The Youth Association



The Youth Association works in some of the most deprived areas in the UK and contributes a great deal to improving young peoples’ lives.We provide young people with a voice in their communities; we allow them to develop their aspirations; and we draw young people who spend their leisure time on the streets into challenging and developmental programmes of group work and activities.

We’ve got a wide range of fantastic opportunities running for young people at the moment some of which include:

10Young UpstartsAged 16-24? Ever dreamed about being your own boss? Whatever your reasons for wanting to start your own business, Young Upstarts can help you get it off the ground. We’re offering practical training, support, useful qualifications and help to get the investment you’ll need to get started.

Young Inspectors – The opportunity to become a Young Inspector, have your input in how some of your local services are operated through mystery shopping, interviewing and much more. You also get vouchers as payment, full training and a qualification!

Young Advisors – Have your say in how you think youth work should be delivered by The Youth Association and tell us what you want from your youth workers. Create videos, posters, write blogs, direct a film, write a film, tweet, manage a Facebook page or even interview people. What ever way you want to get your message across!
